We decided to treat our younger three to dinner out at Crown Hotel Motel Camden it has been a long week (yep it’s only Tuesday)… while the oldest boys are out with friends we are taking the opportunity to love on our younger three!

Those with multiple kids… do you take opportunities to treat your children as individuals?

Absolutely! Makes it easy having one boy and one girl.

Great time soent with your bubbas.

Yep! We try to do one on one with each of them when possible, or do a split and take 2 kids each 😂

Heck yes!

A quick recap...

We have gone through;
1. Choosing/Setting your goals
2. Understanding and getting to know your audience, &,
3. working out your competition

How do you feel? Do you feel empowered by the knowledge and the tools you have created?

🤜🤜 Double fist bump!!

It's not always easy to take time to work ON your business 🤪

Let's dive back in...

Step 4. Do a social media audit

If you’re already using social media, take stock of your efforts so far. Ask yourself the following questions:

❓ What’s working, and what’s not?
❓ Who is engaging with you?
❓ Which networks does your target audience use?
❓ How does your social media presence compare to the competition?

Once you collect that information, you’ll be ready to start thinking about ways to improve.

Click/Copy Link for a quick Audit Template: help2u.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Quick-Social-Media-Audit.pdf

Your audit should give you a clear picture of what purpose each of your social accounts serves. If the purpose of an account isn’t clear, think about whether it’s worth keeping.

To help you decide, ask yourself the following questions:

❓ Is my audience here?
❓ If so, how are they using this platform?
❓ Can I use this account to help achieve my goals?

Asking these tough questions will keep your strategy focused.

Don't Build Your Empire On Rented Space!

All Shopify user's are currently sitting in limbo while the platform iron out technical issues that they are having with they CMS and hosting it seems.

This is a great example of why template based website builders are not ideal for building your brand.

👉 You have no control over platform structure
👉 You have no control over hosting controls
👉 You are beholden to their platforms and cannot move your website away from them
👉 Your digital assets are not owned
👉 You have access to limited functions and integrations
👉 You are susceptible to outages which require that platform to assess, diagnose and rectify as you rent the space from them.

Don't get me wrong custom-built websites have their cons too, however, in business the most important aspect is to protect and own all your brand and digital assets and this is not possible when using template-based website builders.

👩‍💻 Your website builder should provide you all access and details to your website
👩‍💻 Your website builder should provide how-to's or tutorials so that you have an understanding of how to update, maintain and manipulate your website

If you are not happy with your current provider, website or platform, feel free to connect with us today to find out what your options are 😃

To all Shopify users, we hope you are back up and running quickly!

So we've been through step 1&2 and now it is time to jump into step 3...

Step 3. Get to know your competition

Odds are your competitors are already using social media, and that means you can learn from what they’re doing.

Conduct a competitive analysis
A competitive analysis allows you to understand who the competition is and what they’re doing well (and not so well). You’ll get a good sense of what’s expected in your industry, which will help you set social media targets of your own.

It will also help you spot opportunities.

Maybe one of your competitors is dominant on Facebook, for example, but has put little effort into Twitter or Instagram. You might want to focus on the networks where your audience is underserved, rather than trying to win fans away from a dominant player.

💭💭 A quick thought... Are you, your own competition?

Tomorrow we will be posting something that will help you get a better understanding of where you sit in your market and how you can create opportunities for your business...

Step 2. Learn everything you can about your audience

Create audience personas

Knowing who your audience is and what they want to see on social media is key. That way you can create content that they will like, comment on, and share. It’s also critical if you want to turn social media followers into customers for your business.

When it comes to your target customer, you should know things like:

🧍Age
🧍Location
🧍average income
🧍Typical job title or industry
🧍Interests
🧍Behaviours etc.

Click/Copy the link to get a persona template that you can fill in: help2u.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Client-Persona-_-Avatar-Document-1.pdf

🧍🧍🧍 Hint Hint - You should have 3-5 persona's in your business

Get to know your fans, followers, and customers as real people with real wants and needs, and you will know how to target and engage them on social media.
