Yesterday's early morning events or non-events thanks to the global giant Facebook led not only our business to ask questions but many other businesses and consumers around the world to question the platforms stability.
Lisa was interviewed yesterday by a lovely journalist James Glynn from The Wall Street Journal, they discussed life, families, business, and of course the great Facebook outage of 2021.
Facebook have owned the problem and made a public statement saying that systems upgrades and DNS changes were the cause of the outage and NOT a cyberattack.
Everything is right with the world today all platforms are working and we are connected once again.

Some of you may know and some of you may be blissfully unaware that Facebook suffered an approximate 5-6 hour outage in the early hours of this morning.
Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Whatsapp were all affected by systems configuration issues and changes.
So what does this mean, well to most of you NOTHING, it was around 2:30am-ish this morning that issues became apparent and they were fixed and rectified by around 9:30 am this morning. Those that sleep would've not even noticed the outage.
Businesses, however, may have been significantly affected, if you take into consideration the amount of time Facebook was down in a 24hour period it equates to roughly 25% of the day...
What is your ad spend per day?
Do you rely on Metrics and Analytics for all your paid campaigns data and results?
Will Facebook refund your ad spend for this time?
Were you able to connect with prospective clients?
Reach, impressions, engagement, paid campaigns, brand and awareness etc. etc. etc.
These are all questions that are yet to be answered.
But who do we ask...? Facebook is the Faceless business with a FAQ page that just keeps looping and looping and looping and looping oh sorry...
As a business owner we all pride ourselves on customer service, it is the backbone of any business, but where is Facebooks, Instagrams, Twitters, Tik Toks, customer service department?
I should not have to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars to get a business manager.
We have not lost faith in these platforms (yet), however, we should be holding them to a standard and at this point in time, I don't feel that they are meeting the mark!

I was lucky enough to be up very early with clients today. Whilst I saw I had business notifications and felt frustrated I couldn’t immediately access them, I put it down to unpredictable wifi and carried on with my morning.
If however, I had a slower morning or scheduled time to manage my social media platforms, it would have been a very different scenario!
I was actually up quite early this morning and was quite frustrated by the silence on Facebook… I knew I had customer enquiries to get back to, but couldn’t access them!
